The first shrine gete of Katori faces river Tonegawa.
This was an approach of the entrance to the Katori Shinto shrine in old times.
Once 12 year, the portable shrine goes across the river by the boat on The Jinkoh-sai.

Flow of grand Tone and historical torii. You will come to want to breathe deeply.
How if visiting it once?
In old times, traffic that used Tonegawa was active, when a lot of artists and scholars such as Kazan Watanabe and Soutan Akamatsu visited this place.
The stone lantern ashore was used for the lighthouse. Akiko's Yosano monument has been built here.
The embankment around here is a cycletrack. It is also pleasant to run on bicycle along the flow of magnificent Tonegawa.
