
The northeastern part of Chiba Prefecture and the southern part of Ibaraki Prefecture region was recognized to the national park "Suigoh-Tsukuba" in 1960.
"The 12 bridges at Kato-zu" are in a vast paddy field zone in the south of the park.

In Kato-zu, 12 easy bridge that connect houses came to be called "the 12 bridges."
You can get through under the bridges by the small boat which the boatwoman manages.
The season from late spring to summer when the iris and sweet rush bloom is especially crowded around here.
