In the beginning of the Meiji era, Shime Toshimasa the chief priest of the shrine having taught Kagura (the Shinto music and dancing) to the young parishioners for praying for disaster prevention and good harvest.
It interrupted by the lack of the heirs at the middle of the 1960's. The preservation association was formed in around 1974, and it came to be performed agein on the festival in 1976.
The master of kagura is succeeded to the following successor every 6 and seven years, and the tradition has been preserved by youth. The cultural asset of folk customs of the city.
